Nine Months Old

Yesterday the babies had their nine months well visit - and the doctor thinks they look great and are right where they should be developmentally.

Kate still excels in eating and moving around. She now weighs 20.6 pounds and is 28.5 inches tall, putting her in the 75th percentile in both categories. She can hold herself up in a standing position if she has something to hold onto. She can also take a few steps if I am holding her hands, and she has figured out how to climb stairs (not good for us).

Willa weighs 18 pounds 2 ounces (50th percentile) and I don't have her height written down. She is not crawling yet, but is pretty good at pushing herself backwards. Really, she just wants to be carried around.

Oliver hasn't really caught up much. He weighs 16 pounds 8 ounces, placing him in only the 5th percentile, and is 27 1/4 inches tall (25th %). He seems to move across the room, but I have yet to see him crawl. I'm not quite sure how he's doing it.

We got two good pieces of news at the visit - first, no shots (!); and second, no more Neosure. We have graduated to regular formula for three more months, then onto milk. This will help the pocketbooks!
